Instructions for patients who visit our clinic for the first time
Whether it is your first time trying acupuncture or not, you’ll find a
warm welcome from the team at Chung Acupuncture Clinic. All of our team
will work to make you feel right at home.
Please read this before you come
Plan to be at the clinic for about 60 minutes. Follow up treatments may
not take as long. While typically a treatment lasts about an hour, we'll
leave you as long as you look like you're resting soundly. So please give
us a sign if you're done - or be sure to let us know if you need to be out
by a certain time.
Please do not wear cologne, perfume, or scented lotions. Many people are
sensitive to smells. Also, please don't wear oils on your skin or hair
when you come, as it ruins our sheets.
Wear loose, comfortable clothing with sleeves that can be rolled up to the
elbows and pants that can be rolled up to just above the knees. And it is
best not to eat a large meal, drink strong coffee before a treatment.
When you arrive, we'll review your paperwork and chat briefly. Over the course of your visit we will also talk
to you about a treatment strategy for best results, and whether herbs may
be helpful in resolving your problem.

Be sure to discuss any health concerns and ask any questions concerning

Your practitioner will work out a treatment plan from this information
that is tailored to your individual needs. Information about any

as well as any recent test results.
Depending on the seriousness and the length of your condition, your initial
may take between 30-60 minutes. It may take several visits to see
significant improvement or cure your condition. As with any treatment
plan, however, make sure that your questions are answered completely, and
that the treatment plan seems viable and reasonable. If you don't
understand a particular technique or type of treatment, make sure to ask.
